Check the frame, engine and fitted early CB750 parts
Early CB750 parts changed between the K0 and K1 arrangements. Record the frame and engine numbers, then identify the assembly being repaired before ordering; a registration year alone does not describe every part now fitted.
- Frame identification — record the complete frame number when asking for help with model identification.
- Engine identification — record the engine number separately, particularly if the engine may have been replaced.
- Seat, latch and hook — Honda describes the K1 change as interchangeable with the earlier arrangement when these parts are replaced together. Compare all three before ordering one piece.
- Oil tank and side cover — Honda revised these for the K1; the earlier and revised parts are not individually interchangeable. Match the tank and cover arrangement actually fitted.
Use model-reference information as a starting point, then compare the fitted assembly with the replacement specification. Keep frame identification separate from engine and component identification when previous repairs or conversions are possible.

Match the throttle and carburetor setup
The featured 1969–70 throttle cable uses one top cable feeding four individual carburetors. The featured right-hand switch is also specified for the single-throttle-cable configuration. Before replacing either, compare your cable routing and controls with the listing—especially if a previous owner changed the carburetors or handlebars.
