Warranty coverage for Honda CB parts

We stand behind the parts we sell. Here are the warranty terms, what they cover, and what to do if you think a part has a defect.

At a glance

What the policy covers

Coverage depends on the type of part and how it was used. Check the specific rules before starting a claim.

General merchandise

Manufacturing defects

Guaranteed for 90 days from the retail sale date against defects in materials or workmanship. The remedy is replacement of the item or defective component.

Exhaust systems

90-day coverage

Defects in materials or workmanship are covered for 90 days. Warranty returns require prior approval and all hardware must be returned.

Wear items

Limited coverage

Cables, rubber parts, bulbs, filters, contact points and brakes are covered only if shown to be defective before installation.

A warranty claim for a defect has different terms from a standard return. For change-of-mind returns, read our returns and refunds guide.

Before you order or install

Important exclusions

These are the main situations the warranty does not cover.

Use and fitment

  • Modification, misuse, neglect, incorrect installation or incorrect application.
  • Off-road or racing use.
  • Installation on a motorcycle other than the models listed for that part.

Exhaust finishes and damage

  • Impact, modification, corrosives, weather deterioration or normal wear.
  • Damage from installation, accidents or neglect.
  • Bluing of bright chrome exhaust systems.

Electrical parts

Check fitment before ordering

Electrical parts are not returnable under the published policy and work only on the listed models.

Do not use a new electrical part as a diagnostic tool. Check related components that may have caused the original part to fail.

WARRANTIES

General merchandise is guaranteed for 90 Days from date of retail against manufacturers defect in workmanship or material. Guarantee is limited to replacement of the unit or defective component thereof only. Any item which has been modified, subjected to misuse, neglect, incorrect installation or application is not covered.

All warranties void for parts used off-road or for racing use or if parts are installed on any bike except models listed with each part. Parts fit only applications listed with each item.

Exhaust systems are warranted for 90 days against manufacturers defect or workmanship. Warranties do not cover damage caused by impact, modification, exposure to corrosives or deterioration caused by weather or wear. Owner is responsible for all damage caused by installation, accident or neglect. Bright chrome systems are not warranted against bluing. Warranty returns must have prior approval from our order desk and have all hardware returned.

Electrical Parts - Choose Carefully, Electrical items are NOT Returnable. Parts work on models indicated only. Be sure that you are ordering items for the correct bike. Please do not order these items as diagnostic tools and always check related parts for the reason the original part failed (Many have ruined the newly purchased part by not heeding this advise).

We do Not warranty wearing items (nor does Honda) such as cables, rubber parts, bulbs, filters, contact points, brakes etc. unless they are shown to be defective prior to installation. Note: Some CB750’s have excessive vibration known to fracture frames, mirrors, headlights etc. and owners have responsibility for these problems.
