An unexpected warning or neutral indication needs investigation before ordering a switch. The catalog separates the switch, its wire or seal and related hardware. Follow the service manual’s checks so your order addresses the identified component rather than assuming that every indicator fault comes from the switch.
The front hydraulic switch specifies a 10mm × M1.25 thread, while the rear switch has separate spring and bracket listings. These describe different arrangements. Check the system actually fitted to the motorcycle, including any brake modifications, and use the service manual for procedures and specifications.
A switch replacement can address a faulty switch, but it cannot restore low oil pressure. If the warning stays on with the engine running, stop the engine and have actual oil pressure checked before riding. Diagnose the pressure and electrical circuit before deciding whether the switch or its separate lead needs replacement.
Check the bulb, wiring, connector and switch continuity; an open wire or poor connection can mimic a switch fault. If the switch is replaced, the genuine Honda listing includes its screw but excludes the O-ring, so inspect the sealing parts as well as the electrical connection.
Check switch height, pedal return, pedal free play and whether the spring is held under tension. The spring listing identifies those causes. Set the switch by the Honda procedure so the light operates with brake application and turns off when the pedal returns, without using the switch adjustment to change brake free play.
