1970 Honda CB750K · Air Filters & Airbox Parts Buying guide

Choose an intake direction before choosing the filter

Keeping the airbox and moving to clamp-on filters require different components. Review the stock element, cover seals and airbox separately from pod dimensions and the bracket described for supporting carburetors after airbox removal.

Retain the airbox with the appropriate service parts

A stock-type element and cover bolt O-rings are separate service items for the airbox arrangement. If the assembly itself is being replaced, compare the Candy Gold Honda airbox listing and its stated application. Review the existing pieces so the order does not overlook or duplicate smaller components.

Review more than the appearance of a pod

Pod filters differ in their listed media and finishes, even where a 39mm opening is described. Compare the actual carburetor inlet and surrounding clearance. The stabilizer bracket addresses carburetor support after airbox removal, while carburetor setup decisions need appropriate service information or qualified tuning advice.

Questions before ordering

What should I buy when keeping the stock airbox?

Start by comparing the stock-type filter element with the airbox fitted. Cover bolt O-rings are listed separately, and the Candy Gold assembly is another distinct purchase. Review the parts needing replacement rather than assuming one item includes the others.

Is the Candy Gold assembly an aftermarket pod setup?

No. Its description identifies a genuine Honda airbox assembly finished in Candy Gold, with a 1969–70 CB750K application. Compare the full listing and the motorcycle being restored before deciding whether that complete assembly is the relevant purchase.

Do all listed pods use the same filter material?

No. The descriptions identify options including red foam, foam-media pods and washable filter media. Read the specific product description for its material and care details, then confirm the inlet size and quantity supplied before ordering.
