1970 Honda CB750K · Stock-Style Tail Lights Buying guide

Choose early tail-light lens, wiring and mounting parts

The lens, complete lamp, mounting bracket and three-cable set are different purchases. Compare your existing assembly and connections so you can replace the worn part while recognising which supporting pieces are separately listed.

Check the existing lamp before choosing a lens

The early red lens has integrated amber side reflectors and a specific 1969–71 CB750K application. Compare its outline and mounting details with the rear lamp on your motorcycle. A later replacement or custom unit may need different service pieces even on a correctly identified 1970 bike.

Keep cable and mounting contents distinct

The cable set contains three named tail and brake light cables, while the mounting hardware set contains grommets, collars, bolts and washers. A complete lamp has its own listed wiring and components. Review these descriptions together to avoid buying duplicates or overlooking the actual damaged piece.

Questions that help you choose

What should I check if the tail light works but the brake light does not?

Check the stop-light part of the bulb, the brake switches and their wiring, connectors and ground before replacing the complete lamp. The three-cable set separates the tail-light feed, ground and stop-light feed, so identify the failed circuit and compare the actual wiring section being repaired.

Which joint does the eight-piece mounting hardware set service?

The set mounts the lamp to its support bracket; it does not mount the bracket to the rear fender. Its grommets isolate vibration and its collars control bolt compression. Identify the loose or damaged joint before ordering hardware, and compare a replacement bracket’s own mounting requirements.

How do I choose between a lens and an assembly?

Compare the condition and type of your existing lamp. A loose lens suits a matching housing, while the complete assembly supplies additional lamp components. Check the listed early application, mounting details and contents before deciding how much of the lamp to replace.
