1970 Honda CB750K · Brake & Clutch Buying guide
Separate hydraulic brake work from rear-drum and clutch repairs. Kit contents, cable reach and individual plate quantities are the main ordering checks; the model year does not identify a substituted brake assembly.

Match a master-cylinder or caliper kit to the unit fitted. A replacement complete cylinder can have different service parts from the original even when it is sold for the same motorcycle.
For a cable repair, compare the cable ends and route. For internal clutch work, Honda describes an original wet clutch with seven friction discs, six steel plates and four springs. The original friction discs include two types, so confirm the fitted clutch and the replacement maker’s stack instructions before using those totals to build an order.
Do not assume that it will. Match the replacement cylinder’s manufacturer and internal specification to its service kit; a CB750 model application alone does not establish that its internal seals and piston match the original unit.
Compare the listed 53-inch overall length and the cable fittings with the actual bars and routing. An extended cable is also listed for non-stock handlebars, but the required length depends on the setup fitted to your motorcycle.
Honda’s original arrangement uses six friction discs A and one friction disc B. The catalog lists the individual replacement friction plate at seven per early CB750K, but that count alone does not explain how the replacement design covers the original two types. Confirm the replacement maker’s complete-stack instructions and the clutch fitted before ordering.
