1970 Honda CB750K · Battery & Fuses Buying guide

Check battery size, retaining band and support quantities

A retaining band, mounting rubber and cable each have a different job and supplied quantity. Compare the battery dimensions and existing hardware first, then choose the individual supporting pieces that the service actually requires.

Measure the available battery space

The AGM battery lists dimensions of 5.28 inches long, 3.54 inches wide and 6.54 inches high. Compare these with your actual battery box, band and terminal clearance. The listing asks buyers to confirm the size and specification, which matters on a motorcycle with modified mounting or connections.

Inspect the individual battery-box mounts

Identify which mounting positions need attention and which collars, bolts and washers can be retained. Compare a complete mounting set with the individually sold rubbers before ordering replacement hardware for every position.

Questions that help you choose

How is the battery band length measured?

The band description gives 6.125 inches, or 155mm, from the inside of one bracket to the inside of the other. Compare that same measurement and your fitted arrangement rather than measuring unrelated outside edges of the old band.

Will new mounting rubbers repair a damaged battery box?

Inspect the box for rust, enlarged mounting holes and missing cushions before choosing rubbers or hardware sets. The rubber listing calls for those checks because new cushions do not repair damaged metal. Confirm that the battery is supported securely without sharp-edge contact or pinched cables.

What should be checked besides the battery’s outside dimensions?

Check terminal orientation, cable reach and clearance above the terminals as well as the listed 5.28 × 3.54 × 6.54-inch size. The battery is a sealed, pre-charged AGM unit with no acid or water to add. Match the charging system to the battery requirements, especially if the bike has been converted to lithium-specific regulation.
