Parts and fitment guide for your 1971 CB750K (K1)

Use this 1971 Honda CB750K parts guide to plan maintenance or an early SOHC restoration. Match the repair to the carburetors, controls and mounting hardware fitted to your motorcycle, especially where previous owners have changed components.

Browse by repair

Selected parts for the 1971 CB750K

For these common service jobs, identify the carburetor bank, airbox or front brake assembly first. Their fitted components determine which replacement gasket, filter or pad set to compare.

Identify your CB750K1 (1970–71)

Record the frame and engine numbers separately before comparing model documentation. An engine replacement can leave the motorcycle with identifiers from different production versions.

  • Frame number — stamped on the left side of the steering head.
  • Engine number — stamped on the top-left side of the crankcase.

Compare both identifiers with documentation for the motorcycle’s market and model edition. The sale or registration year alone does not establish which components are fitted.

View the CB750 reference chart

For help locating and comparing identifiers, see our Honda CB model identification guide.

Choosing parts for a K1

The K1 uses separate opening and closing throttle cables, so compare the function and end fittings of both cables when replacing controls. For an early-CB750 seat replacement, compare the seat underside, latch and hook together: Honda describes their earlier/revised interchange as a matching-set change.
