Honda CB Clutch Plates and Springs for Clutch Service
The wet multi-plate clutch transfers engine power to the transmission while allowing the rider to disengage that power for starting, stopping and shifting. Worn friction plates, warped steel plates, weakened springs or damaged release components can contribute to clutch slipping, dragging or inconsistent engagement. Similar symptoms can also result from cable adjustment or release-mechanism problems, so the complete system should be inspected before parts are selected.
This collection includes individual friction plates, steel drive plates, standard and performance clutch springs, damper repair kits, release actuators, tab washers and specialized retaining hardware. Plate types, quantities, thicknesses and stack order vary between SOHC and DOHC Honda CB engines and even among different versions of the same model. Friction plates, steel plates, springs, basket surfaces and release components should be checked against the applicable service specifications during a clutch rebuild.
For external clutch-control parts, browse our Honda CB clutch cables and levers. Opening the clutch cover may also require parts from our engine gaskets, oil seals and hardware collection, while clutch-holding equipment is available under engine, steering and clutch tools. Use the My Motorcycle selector to display clutch parts listed for your Honda CB model and year.
