Read the overhaul note against the fitment line

You can buy seven oil seals, one head gasket, or an overhaul set. The overhaul set names the 1975-76 CB500T and also says 5-speed CB450K only. Those two claims disagree, so do not treat the set as every gasket this twin needs.

Do not guess what is in the set

The overhaul set does not name the gaskets inside it. Do not assume a head gasket or an oil seal is packed in it. The head gasket you can match by Honda number is the separate gasket.

Head-gasket years versus the overhaul years

The separate head gasket is not held to the 5-speed CB450K note. Its printed years are CB500T 1975-76 Twin, CB400F 1975-77, CB350F 1972 and 1974, CB450K 1966 and 1968-74, CL450K 1967 and 1969-74, and CB360T 1975-76, then a CB360 line with no year. Those spans differ from the overhaul set.

Overhaul set and seal-kit questions

Does the overhaul set fit a 1975 CB500T?

Fitment includes Honda CB500T 1975-76, and a note says it fits 5-speed CB450K models only. Nothing says which sentence controls, and nothing states the gearbox in this model. Compare both lines to the engine you have instead of dropping one.

Is the head gasket inside the seven-seal kit?

No. The kit is seven oil seals for twin-cylinder engine assemblies. It does not describe a head gasket, and it does not mention 12909-428-003. That gasket is a separate piece. The overhaul product is the gasket set, and its contents are not itemized either.

Why does one head gasket show three Honda numbers?

12909-428-003, 12909-283-000, and 12909-333-000 are the OEM identities this one gasket replaces. They are not three gaskets in the package. Match any of them to the gasket you are removing. The 1975-76 CB500T is one of the models named for that same gasket.
