One cushion under each meter

This is the cushion between meter and mount, not a gauge or a face decal. The CB500T line is 1975-76. A CB750A note limits that model to the speedo only. Do not copy that limit onto this twin.

Parts to consider

One piece or two

You choose the quantity. The note says two per bike, one for the speedometer and one for the tach. One crumbled cushion means one piece. Both meters means two. They are not packed as a forced pair. The 1975-76 CB500T line is finished, beside CB500K 1973 and the named CB550 models.

Cushion, face, or a whole gauge

This cushion shows no speed, rpm, MPH, or KPH. MPH face decals go on the original gauge faces after you open them. A 7:1 tach or an 85mm speedometer is an instrument, not this rubber. If the meter buzzes, you want 37235-323-700. If the dial units are wrong, you want a face or another gauge.

How many cushions, and for which meter?

Should I order one cushion or two?

Two are used on a bike, one for the speedometer and one for the tachometer, but you order the quantity you require. Buy one to replace a single failed cushion. Buy two if both original meters need fresh cushions. The part replaces 37235-323-700.

Does the Hondamatic note change the CB500T order?

No. The speedo-only sentence is attached to the CB750A Hondamatic. The CB500T entry is a normal 1975-76 fitment next to the general note of two per bike. Use two positions on this twin unless one cushion is still good.

Is this cushion the same as an MPH face?

No. The cushion sits with the meter and replaces 37235-323-700. The MPH face set is a decal applied over the original gauge face after you take the gauge apart. One supports the meter. The other changes the printed MPH markings.
