Choosing rebuild kits and jet assortments

Choose between replacing carburetor internals and buying a range of jet sizes. The rebuild kit includes gaskets, needles and jets for one carburetor; the separate main-jet assortments offer alternative sizes for an established tuning plan.

What the rebuild kit already covers

Each kit covers one carburetor, so four kits cover a full four-carburetor rebuild. Included parts are the float bowl and top gaskets, O-rings, float needle and seat, #105 main jet, #40 pilot jet, needle, adjusting screw and spring.

Pilot-jet body and bowl gasket

The featured #38 pilot jet is 28mm tall with a 5.5mm outer diameter. Match its body dimensions to the fitted carburetor as well as the required jet size. The separate bowl gasket is an O-ring-style seal for one bowl; it is sold individually, with four required for a complete bank.

Carb rebuild questions

Is the featured #38 pilot pack the original 1975 F size?

No. The pilot-jet listing gives #40 as the stock size for the 1975–76 CB750F, and the rebuild kit supplies #40. The featured #38 pack contains four #38 jets; select it only if that size is appropriate to the fitted carburetor and tuning requirements.

What does the 44-piece main-jet assortment add over the 16-piece kit?

The 16-piece kit contains four each of #105, #110, #115 and #120. The 44-piece kit also includes #100, #102, #108, #112, #118, #122 and #125, again four of each. These are alternative size sets, and neither assortment prescribes a setting for a particular modification.

Should I add separate float-valve and bowl-gasket products to a rebuild-kit order?

The rebuild kit already includes a float needle and seat plus a float bowl gasket for one carburetor. Add the separate valve set or bowl gasket only if needed for an individual repair or another carburetor; the separate valve package contains one needle and one seat.
