This deluxe aftermarket carburetor rebuild kit provides a high-content selection of sealing, fuel-control, jetting, and mixture-adjustment components for servicing one original carburetor on the...
The original CB900F uses VB-family carburetors. Start with the bank’s identification and the fault being repaired: a bowl leak may need sealing parts, while metering changes require checking the installed jets, intake and exhaust configuration.
The jet-equipped kit adds a needle jet and mixture screw with spring to its gasket, O-rings, float needle and named jets. The deluxe alternative has a different contents list, including #38 pilot and #69/#105 main jets. Those differences matter; do not assume the packages are interchangeable equivalents.
A main-jet assortment does not service every circuit
Honda distinguishes primary main, secondary main and slow-jet circuits. The performance assortment supplies stated main-jet sizes, not a full set of jets, needles and seals for every position. Match the jet’s construction and circuit before considering its stamped size.
Buying questions
Should I fit every jet supplied in a rebuild kit?
Compare the fitted carburetor and its correct specification first. The regular kit lists #68/#105 mains and a #35 pilot; the deluxe kit lists #69/#105 mains and a #38 pilot with different needles. Those package differences do not establish one universal factory setting.
Will larger main jets fix an unstable idle?
Not by assumption. Inspect the VB-family intake connections, float operation and clean passages before changing metering parts. The main-jet assortments do not establish the correct slow-circuit setting or repair a leak.
How do I confirm a jet fits beyond its size number?
Match the carburetor identification, jet circuit, thread or retention style and body dimensions. Equal stamped numbers do not make different jet families interchangeable. Keep primary, secondary and slow-jet positions identified during service.
