Keep the clutch nut distinct from rotor and filter hardware

The broad product title also names oil-filter rotors used on other Honda applications. The CB900C instead has a paper oil-filter element in a bolt-secured housing, and its alternator rotor has a retaining bolt. Do not transfer that broad rotor wording to either CB900C location.

Can a 24 mm clutch tool be rejected because the nut is listed as 16 mm?

Those dimensions describe different features. The tool’s engagement diameter is not the nut’s thread size. Match the specified castellated nut application and the tool’s driver connection instead of comparing the two numbers as though they measure the same part.
