1970 Honda CB750K · Cam chain parts Buying guide

Identify the guide and chain before adding the small parts

Guide rollers, shaft rubbers, pins and joining links have distinct roles and contents. Use the fitted timing assembly and chain identification to select the correct components for the engine work.

Check the joining link against its own chain description

The 219T rivet-link listing names the corresponding replacement cam chain. A different heavy-duty rivet link names the BS05MH chain. Their descriptions warn that older original chains may differ. Confirm the actual chain designation and the required service method before choosing either separate link.

Review the surrounding timing components individually

The early guide listing includes the 1970 CB750K within its 1969–71 application. Rollers, shaft rubbers, collars and pins are separate listed components. Have the timing assembly assessed and compare the needed parts with their individual descriptions; the replacement chain itself does not define every item required for the job.

Common questions

Does the listed cam chain include a joining link?

The featured non-endless 219T x 94 chain description includes a clip joining link. A separate rivet link is also available for that named chain. Confirm the chain and joining method with the applicable service information.

Can the heavy-duty rivet link join any cam chain?

The heavy-duty link is described for the BS05MH chain, while the other link names the 219T replacement chain. Neither description promises interchange with every original chain. Match the exact chain designation before selecting a joining link.

Is the featured guide listed for a 1970 engine?

Yes. Its stated CB750K application includes 1969–71. Compare its replacement reference with the fitted guide, especially if the engine has changed, and keep the listing distinction from later guide applications in your parts selection.
