Choose the right repair for your instrument cluster
This selection includes stock-style and custom instruments, speedometer and tachometer cables, face plates, cushions and gauge hardware. A cosmetic part, cable and complete instrument solve different problems.
The MPH face set is for the 1972–73 rectangular-cutout design. The KM/H L-cut set covers 1972–74 and is described as working with L-cut or rectangular gauges. Both require instrument disassembly; compare units and the actual instrument before choosing a cosmetic restoration.
Check a custom instrument separately
The all-black mini tachometer is a mechanical 4:1 unit. It includes a V-plate but needs a separately sold mounting bracket. Confirm the drive and mounting arrangement together instead of treating a ratio match as a complete installation check.
Common questions
Will a stock-style gauge have the exact original face?
Not necessarily. The stock-style gauge descriptions warn that face details changed between years. Compare dial markings and styling with the cluster you intend to restore before choosing a complete replacement.
Can I keep my gauges and replace their faces?
Yes, with suitable instruments. The MPH set is the 1972–73 rectangular version; the KM/H L-cut set is described as fitting L-cut or rectangular gauges for 1972–74. Both require disassembly.
How many meter cushions are specified for the cluster?
The cushion application specifies two per bike, one for the speedometer and one for the tachometer. Inspect both mounting positions and order the quantity needed; that application count is not a statement that one package supplies two.
Not sure which part you need?
Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
