Choose a tool for the fastener or component being serviced
Purpose-made nut and retainer tools, a float-setting gauge and other workshop items solve different jobs. Some suit a stock component; others, such as the oil-filter wrench, are listed for an aftermarket arrangement.
Tools in this selection do not all use the same drive. The single-size clutch nut tool takes a 3/8-inch driver; the premium double-ended version takes a 1/2-inch extension. Wheel bearing retainer tools also specify a 1/2-inch tool hole. Compare these details with your workshop equipment.
Check stock and aftermarket arrangements
The tripod filter wrench is for the offered aftermarket spin-on filter arrangement. The float gauge is preset for the listed CB750 carburetors, but its description gives no numeric float-height setting. Identify the fitted components and use their service information when choosing either tool.
Common questions
Do the clutch and wheel tools use the same driver?
The single-size clutch tool uses a 3/8-inch driver. The premium clutch tool and front/rear wheel-retainer tools specify a 1/2-inch fitting. Check the tool you choose against the equipment already in your kit.
Will the oil-filter wrench suit the standard filter housing?
It is specified for the aftermarket spin-on filter arrangement and uses a 3/8-inch drive. Identify the filter fitted before buying it for a stock-housing service job.
Does an 18 mm spark-plug wrench specification refer to the plug thread?
Here 18 mm is the wrench’s working size for the plug hex. Check the fitted plug and access to it: this tool has a thin wall, 160 mm overall length and a handle that tucks into the socket.
