1969 Honda CB750K · Suspension & Wheel Buying guide

Start with the fitted front end and wheel arrangement

Early fork specifications, rear shock appearance and front or rear wheel position provide useful starting points. Check those details alongside the individual listing rather than treating every suspension item as a matching assembly.

Use early-model details without assuming an untouched bike

The early fork tube listing gives a 585mm length and 35mm outside diameter. The early seal listing states its own dimensions. Compare both with the actual front end, since the model year alone does not identify components that may have been replaced.

Separate wheel service from suspension appearance choices

A rim or spoke set needs the correct wheel position and dimensions, while rear shock choices involve length, mounts and finish. Bearings and seals are separate service products. List the assemblies being assessed and use the service manual or a qualified mechanic for required work.

Useful questions before ordering

Are the early stock-design shocks visually identical to the later version?

The early design lists a black center with chrome body and springs. The later stock-design listing describes a chrome center. Compare the specific appearance and mounting dimensions if restoring an early look is part of your plan.

Can I choose fork seals from the tube diameter alone?

The early seal description gives three dimensions, 35 × 46 × 11mm, as well as its model application. Compare the seal and fitted fork assembly, not just the tube outside diameter, before selecting replacements.

Is the front wheel bearing supplied as a two-piece set?

The front bearing is an individual product, and its description states two are used per front wheel. Check your service requirements and order the quantity needed rather than assuming one product supplies both front wheel bearings.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
