Choose the kit for steering service

The Japanese-made kit is a tapered roller steering bearing conversion with upper and lower races. Keep it separate from front wheel bearing choices. Check the motorcycle’s actual steering assembly before ordering, and use the correct service information for bearing installation and adjustment.

Match the nut and washer by reference

The top stem nut 90304-425-000 uses the separately listed washer 90503-425-000. Honda also shows a thread B nut, locking washer and bearing-adjustment nut below the top bridge. Match each position carefully; the listed top-nut washer should not be mistaken for the separate locking washer.

Steering Bearings & Hardware questions

Will a new stem nut cure notchy steering?

A nut does not repair damaged bearing surfaces. Honda calls for bearing and race inspection and replacing the bearing with its matching races when needed. Diagnose the roughness before choosing hardware alone, and use the steering adjustment procedure after the repair.

Is the top-nut washer the locking washer below the bridge?

They occupy different positions. Honda shows a separate locking washer with the lower steering nuts. The listed 90503-425-000 washer belongs with the top stem nut; identify the removed part from the assembly diagram before ordering.

Can I choose these parts after a front-end swap?

Check the fitted steering stem and bearing arrangement first. A replacement front end may require different bearings, nut threads or associated hardware. Match those actual components before ordering parts for the original Custom assembly.
