Honda specifies different front and rear piston diameters

Honda’s March 1982 CB900C table on page 26-8 gives front piston outside diameter as 30.148–30.198 mm and rear piston outside diameter as 26.918–26.968 mm. It does not support using the listed 30.15 mm piston at both ends.

Select kit coverage before adding parts

The front dual kit is explicitly described as repairing two calipers; the rear kit repairs one. Inspect piston condition separately rather than assuming either kit renews the pistons. Follow the service manual when deciding whether a caliper body remains suitable for rebuilding.
