1981 Honda CB900C — Jantes, rayons, joints de roue et valves
Inspect the actual wheels on your 1981 CB900C Custom before choosing bearings or seals. The front bearing requirement is two, but the front seal pair is a separate product. The rear seal is supplied singly, and a changed hub needs a direct application check before ordering.

1981 Honda CB900C Custom · Wheel Bearing & Seal Parts Buying guide
Keep wheel position and package quantity together
The front 6302-2RS bearings and the front two-piece seal kit address different components. The single rear seal has its own application; none should be selected from a general wheel-parts label alone.
The sealed 6302-2RS front bearing is sold individually, with two specified per original front wheel. The front seal kit contains two seals and the rear-wheel seal is a separate single piece. Inspect bearings, spacers and seal-running surfaces independently; a seal kit does not renew rough bearings.
Check rear fitment after wheel changes
The Custom’s rear wheel couples to a shaft final drive. Its wheel seal is not a complete seal kit for that separate gear case. Honda’s original Comstar wheel also requires its own inspection procedure; it should not be treated as a conventional adjustable wire-spoke wheel.
Buying questions
What speedometer connection needs attention during front-wheel work?
The original speedometer is driven from the front wheel. Honda shows the lower cable retained by a set spring for this arrangement. Check that connection and the drive while following the correct wheel-removal and installation procedure; a bearing or seal kit does not replace them.
Can a Comstar wheel be trued by adjusting spoke tension?
Honda’s original Comstar wheel is not serviced like a conventional wire-spoke wheel. Follow the runout and damage inspection in the manual; Honda directs wheel replacement when its specified runout limit is exceeded. Do not plan a spoke-adjustment repair from the category name.
What should I check on a swapped wheel?
Identify the fitted hub, compare bearing markings and match the actual seal locations and dimensions. The motorcycle’s original-model application does not establish the parts required by an exchanged wheel.
