Plan the panel and seat repair together

The 1975 F uses a left cover listed for 1975–76, a right cover listed for 1975–78 and an emblem listed for 1975–77. The seat cover is for the original stock 1975–78 F seat. Match these separate applications before planning paint, trim and upholstery work.

Account for the small mounting pieces

The left-cover listing excludes the emblem, grommets, retainers and hardware. Inspect what can be reused rather than treating the panel as a complete kit. The separate six-piece side-cover rubber set supplies four 17247-303-000 dampers and two 83551-300-000 dampers for both covers.

Keep the seat base in the plan

The replacement upholstery includes a reinforced passenger strap and a sewn-in comfort-foam layer, but no hardware or Honda stencil. It is supplied with installation and seat-foam repair instructions. The pan, main foam and fittings remain separate parts of the repair.

Body repair questions

Does the replacement left side cover include its emblem and mounts?

No. The left-cover listing excludes the emblem, mounting grommets, retainers and hardware. It supplies one cover. Reuse only serviceable pieces or add the matching parts to the repair list.

Will the seat cover’s sewn-in foam replace a damaged main cushion?

The sewn-in layer is part of the upholstery cover. This is a cover-only product for the original stock seat, so assess the retained main foam and pan separately; the supplied instructions include seat-foam repair guidance.

Will the replacement keyed seat lock sit exactly like the original?

The supplier says its locking mechanism protrudes slightly farther than the OEM type. Compare that profile with the existing seat-lock arrangement before ordering. The keyed lock and the lock bar are separate listings.
