1975 Honda CB500T · Carb Rebuild & Jetting Buying guide
The kit names only the 1975-76 CB500T and rebuilds one carburetor. The slow jet is size #35. The valve set is a needle and seat under two Honda numbers. Order the piece that matches the failure.
CB500T Carb Rebuild KitRebuilds one carburetor and names the 1975-76 CB500T only. It does not print a jet size or a needle number. Order one kit per carburetor, and add a jet or valve only if you are replacing that piece.View part
Slow Jet #35Keihin-style pilot for idle and low speed. Size #35, replacing 99124-286-0351, sold one at a time. Confirm your carburetor uses the 99124-286 jet style and that #35 is the size you removed or want.View part
Float Needle and SeatNeedle and seat set replacing 16011-302-004 and 16011-375-004. It also fits several other Hondas, so match the number on the old valve. This is not the brass float.View part
Pull the slow jet and read the size stamped on it. Size #35 replaces 99124-286-0351 and meters idle, not wide-open throttle. If the removed jet is a different size, do not step to #35 just because it is the jet offered here. Two carburetors need two jets when both pilots are being replaced.
A needle that no longer shuts off fuel is the valve set, 16011-302-004 or 16011-375-004, which includes the seat. A float that sinks or a lost pin is 16013-283-004, and that float is not in this valve. The rebuild kit prints neither number, so add the valve only when the needle or seat is the bad part.
No. It is a slow, or pilot, jet for idle and just off idle. A main jet is a different part and a different size series. Buy #35 only after you confirm the 99124-286 style and that #35 is the pilot you want.
The jet is sold one at a time, and each carburetor uses its own pilot. Replacing both slow jets on this twin means two pieces. Order one if you are only correcting a single carburetor.
It includes the needle and the seat, not the brass float or the float pin. The float is Honda 16013-283-004. Use the valve when the needle tip or seat is worn. Use the float when the float itself is punctured or the pin is gone.
