1982 Honda CB900F Supersport · Helmet Holder Buying guide
The product is a helmet-holder lock, with a defined replacement reference. Inspect the fitted location before choosing it, especially where a bracket, accessory or previous repair has altered the original arrangement.
A replacement lock can only address the holder itself. Check the mounting area and the actual fitted arrangement before ordering for a modified motorcycle. If the bracket has been altered or damaged, resolve that fit requirement instead of relying solely on the CB900F model list.
Test the replacement lock and supplied keys with the holder empty, and confirm that the latch closes securely without force. The source does not promise shared keying with the ignition. Use the holder for a parked motorcycle and remove the helmet before riding.
Inspect the lock, latch alignment and mounting bracket rather than forcing the key. A bent or loose bracket can prevent correct operation even with a new lock. Resolve the mounting fault and test the holder empty before securing a helmet.
The listing supplies keys but does not offer a matching key code or promise common keying. Confirm that requirement before purchase. Do not assume the motorcycle’s original key will operate the replacement holder.
Use the holder only while parked and remove the helmet before riding. Check that a parked helmet is clear of hot exhaust parts and other damaging contact. A lock’s listed model fit does not establish clearance around modified exhausts or accessories.
