1973 Honda CB750K · Camshaft Drive Parts Buying guide

Match each part of the cam-drive assembly

A guide, guide roller and tensioner spring are different components. Select them by the listing reference and actual repair needs, with separate checks for any gasket or chain joining link required.

Keep the guide and roller identities separate

The guide is reference 14611-300-000; the genuine-Honda roller uses references 14601-312-000 / 14601-286-010. Both have explicit 1973 application. Keep the individual spring and tensioner gasket on separate lines of the repair list rather than treating either as a full tensioner assembly.

Check the joining link against the chain

The separately sold D.I.D. 219T rivet link is specified for the offered Daido 219T × 94 chain. The chain package already includes a clip-type joining link. Choose the joining arrangement deliberately and use the appropriate service procedure; neither link should be matched to an unidentified old chain by model year alone.

Common questions

Does the offered 219T chain need a separately purchased joining link?

The Daido 219T × 94 chain includes a clip-type joining link. A matching rivet-type link is offered separately. Check the intended joining method before adding another link to the order.

Will a D.I.D. 219T rivet link fit any old cam chain?

No blanket fit is established. The rivet link is specified for its matching D.I.D. 219T chain and warns that older original chains may differ. Identify the chain before selecting a joiner.

Will the primary-chain tensioner replace a cam-chain tensioner part?

No. The separately listed primary-chain tensioner, references 13620-300-010 / 030 / 505, is explicitly for the primary chain. Keep that purchase separate from the cam-chain guide, roller and tensioner-spring parts here.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
