1969 Honda CB750K · Electrical Buying guide

Start with the electrical layout on your bike

An early harness, a later switch or an electronic ignition can change the parts you need. Choose by the fitted connector, mounting arrangement and system specification, then confirm the individual listing.

Keep early connectors in view

The early ignition switch uses a round plug, while the main loom has a specific 1969–71 application. A previous owner may have fitted different controls or wiring. Compare your actual connectors and routing with the listing before building an electrical order.

Choose upgrades as a compatible system

An electronic ignition, performance coils and a different battery each bring their own compatibility checks. Match coil resistance to the ignition maker’s requirements and charging equipment to battery chemistry. Use the relevant instructions and service manual rather than selecting every part by year alone.

Useful answers before ordering

Which ignition switch should I compare first?

The early round-plug switch is listed for 1969–72 CB750K models with a round harness connector. It has six holes and four wires. Check that arrangement against the connector currently fitted to your motorcycle.

Will a Dyna S ignition module require a separate coil purchase?

The module-only Dyna S can use existing suitable coils: its specification allows stock coils or coils of 3 ohms or higher. Check the installed ignition and coil specification before ordering a module and an additional coil set.

Does the early fuse box include spare fuses?

Yes. The complete 1969–72 fuse box comes with three extra fuses. Check that included supply before adding more spares to the same order.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
