Buy the single head gasket when you can match 12909-428-003 or 12909-283-000. Buy seven seals only when you want that kit. Read the overhaul note before you use that set on this twin.

Match the number on the old head gasket

The single gasket prints three Honda numbers: 12909-428-003, 12909-283-000, and 12909-333-000. If the gasket you took off shows one of those, this is the piece. The seven-seal kit does not replace that head gasket, and the overhaul set's own note limits it to 5-speed CB450K models even though the CB500T is also named.

Do not mix the seal kit into a top-end job

The oil-seal kit is seven engine seals. It does not claim to include the head gasket, the base gasket, or the exhaust port seals. If the job in front of you is the head, order the head gasket. If the job is weeping seals, order the seven-piece kit.

Is the overhaul set a complete CB500T gasket kit?

The description names the 1975-76 CB500T and also says it fits 5-speed CB450K models only. That conflict means you should match the gaskets in the set to the ones you removed instead of assuming the set is complete for this twin.

What Honda numbers does the single head gasket replace?

12909-428-003, 12909-283-000, and 12909-333-000. Those numbers also cover some 450, 360, 350F, and 400F engines. The number on your old gasket is the check.

Does the oil-seal kit include a head gasket?

No. It is seven oil seals for the engine. The head gasket is the separate single piece.
