Choose the correct valve position and seals

The featured intake and exhaust valves are separately identified Japanese-made replacements. The Kibblewhite option supplies eight Viton seals, making package scope clear when preparing a complete seal replacement.

Keep intake and exhaust references distinct

The intake valve replaces 14711-426-003 and the exhaust valve replaces 14721-426-003. Label removed parts by position during the repair and keep the order equally clear. Appearance alone should not determine which replacement is needed. Each valve is sold individually; four intake valves and four exhaust valves replace all eight positions.

Choose seal material and package deliberately

The Kibblewhite set contains eight 100% Viton seals and is made in the USA. Select that package for its documented material and quantity, rather than assuming every product described as valve-stem seals is supplied as a full set.

Buying questions

What else should be checked when a valve is replaced?

Inspect the valve seat, spring, retainer and keepers; for an exhaust valve, also check installed height. Have the seat machined as needed, then set cam timing and valve clearance to Honda specifications after assembly.

Are both featured valve types made in Japan?

Yes. The intake and exhaust listings both specify Japanese manufacture. Match the correct reference to the valve position before ordering.

Will new valves or stem seals correct worn valve guides?

Measure valve-stem-to-guide clearance and have excessive guide wear corrected. New valves or stem seals do not establish that the guides are serviceable.
