Upgrade or restore your classic Honda motorcycle with this Genuine Honda Piston Pin — precision‑engineered and made in Japan. This authentic replacement fits and...
Standard rings and piston-pin hardware are separate replacement parts. Base the order on inspected piston condition and measured cylinders rather than assuming every four-cylinder rebuild requires the same replacement pieces.
One standard ring set rebuilds one piston; four sets are specified when all four pistons are being ringed. The retaining clips come in packs of two. Keep those different package units visible on the order rather than multiplying every item by the same number.
Inspect before choosing hardware
The genuine Honda pin is sold individually: four pins replace all four. The separate pack contains two 15mm clips, enough for one compatible piston; four packs supply eight clips for all four pistons. Match the piston and pin-retaining arrangement before ordering, especially with aftermarket pistons. Rings, pins and clips are separate products.
Buying questions
What measurements determine whether standard rings are suitable?
Measure bore diameter, taper and out-of-round, then verify the piston markings and ring grooves. Check ring end gap in the cylinder and side clearance in the piston groove against Honda specifications during assembly. Once standard size is confirmed, one set covers one piston and four sets cover all four.
How are the retaining clips packaged?
Two 15mm clips are supplied per pack, enough for one compatible piston. Four packs provide eight clips for all four pistons; a smaller repair needs one pack for each compatible piston being serviced.
What should be checked before deciding to replace a piston pin?
Measure the clearance between the pin and piston bore, and inspect the connecting-rod small end for scoring or looseness. Match the piston and pin diameter to the listed Honda application, and include new specified retaining clips if the old clips are removed.
