1981 Honda CB650 — Leviers de frein et d’embrayage, câbles d’embrayage
Compare the lever mount as carefully as the finish on your 1981 Honda CB650. The listed brake lever fits the later standard-model application; the clutch lever has its own reference. Pivot hardware and aftermarket master-cylinder levers must be checked separately.

Black brake and clutch levers are distinct replacements. The separate brake pivot set supplies one bolt and nut; a changed master cylinder can require a different lever despite the motorcycle year.
The black and linked chrome brake levers share the documented replacement references. Compare the fitted lever and cylinder before choosing either finish. If the motorcycle has an aftermarket cylinder, use the lever specified for that assembly rather than the stock-style application.
Inspect the pivot and protection
A worn pivot or damaged boot can accompany a damaged lever. Check the clutch and brake sides separately because their hardware references differ. Count the bolt-and-nut sets required and follow service guidance for the completed control assembly.
Ordering questions
Do the brake and clutch pivot sets use the same fasteners?
No. Brake set 73-1031 replaces bolt 90114-MA5-671 and nut 94050-06000. Clutch set 73-0998 replaces bolt 90113-422-000 and nut 94002-06000-0S. Each supplies one bolt and one nut; select for the fitted control rather than interchanging the sets.
Will a stock-style lever fit an aftermarket cylinder?
Do not assume so. For example, replacement lever 08-0430 is specifically for master-cylinder assembly 08-0262. That is a different selection from the stock-style black or chrome lever. Identify the installed master cylinder and use the lever specified for that unit.
