Match the MPH instrument input

The MPH gauge is specified at 2240:60: 2,240 cable rpm at an indicated 60 mph. Confirm that required input against the fitted speedometer drive and wheel setup. This gauge calibration is not a wheel-to-cable gear ratio or proof that a changed front end will read correctly.

Check the KPH and tachometer inputs separately

The KPH gauge specifies 1,400 cable rpm at 60 km/h. The mechanical tachometer specifies a 4:1 input, separate from its LED lighting. Match each instrument to its drive, cable ends, bracket spacing and rear clearance rather than choosing on dial appearance alone.

Ordering questions

Does LED illumination make the tachometer electronic?

No. The LEDs illuminate the dial, while engine-speed input remains mechanical. The stated 4:1 calibration requires a compatible tachometer drive and cable connection. An electrical rpm signal alone cannot operate this instrument, so identify the fitted drive before ordering.

Will an MPH or KPH dial automatically read correctly after a wheel swap?

No. The gauge input must agree with the speedometer drive and the rolling size of the fitted wheel and tire. Confirm that combination and the cable connection before buying. The 85mm body and 57mm mounting centers also need a suitable custom bracket and clearance behind the gauge.
