The 1982 Honda CB900F Supersport choices here include a positive battery cable, complete fuse box and cover screw pair. Identify damaged wiring, the fuse assembly or missing hardware before choosing parts. Compare the original references and installed mounting arrangement rather than treating every electrical fault as a fuse-box problem.

Find resistance, heat damage or a short before replacing parts
A corroded positive cable can cause slow cranking, while a loose fuse contact can overheat and an overloaded circuit can blow a fuse. Inspect the battery connections, cable, fuse holder and adjoining wiring so the repair addresses the cause.
Compare the standard fuse box with the damaged-tab listing
The featured complete fuse box includes 15-amp fuses. A separate discounted listing is expressly sold with damaged or missing mounting tabs, so it is not an undamaged equivalent. Check mounting condition and secure insulation as well as electrical connections before planning a replacement.
Keep the battery cable and starter cable distinct
The positive battery cable references 32401-425-010 and includes rubber terminal covers. The starter-motor cable is a different part. Match the connection being repaired, inspect the ground path too and isolate the battery before working on high-current terminals.
Battery & Fuse Hardware questions
Can a damaged positive cable cause slow or intermittent cranking?
Yes. Corrosion, loose terminals or broken strands can add resistance and heat. Check the battery under load, positive and ground connections, relay and starter before deciding which cable or component needs replacement.
Should I use a larger fuse if the same circuit keeps blowing it?
No. Find the short, overload or failed component and use the specified circuit protection. Inspect heat-damaged clips and wiring as well; a new fuse box alone cannot correct a fault elsewhere.
Is the discounted damaged-tab fuse box the same repair choice?
It has a stated mounting defect even though its electrical portion is described as functional. Inspect whether the correct secure, insulated mounting can be achieved; the featured standard assembly is a separate listing. Do not treat missing supports as a reason to leave live terminals loose.
