1970 Honda CB750K · Suspension & Wheels Buying guide

Identify the assembly before choosing its dimensions and parts

Fork length, shock measurement and wheel position are different starting points. Use the relevant specification for the assembly being assessed, then compare the supporting seals, bearings or hardware separately instead of expecting every item to form a matched kit.

Compare the physical assembly before relying on a year tag

The early tube listing provides length and outside diameter, while seals provide their own dimensions. Wheels and steering parts also have individual specifications. Identify what is actually fitted, particularly if the motorcycle has received replacement forks, rims or other components during earlier work.

Choose the right supporting parts for the project

A tube pair, shock set and spoke set do not supply the same supporting items. Read each product’s contents and review seals, bearings or mount hardware separately. Have the required work assessed and refer to the service manual for assembly procedures and specifications.

Questions that help you choose

Does a wheel spoke set include a replacement rim?

The front spoke product describes forty spokes and nipples for the stock 19-inch front wheel. The rim is a separate listing with its own dimensions and application. Compare the fitted hub and rim before selecting the wheel components.

What distinguishes the featured early shock appearance?

Its description gives a black center with chrome body and springs, modeled after the early CB750K design. Other listed shock options differ in appearance and dimensions. Read those details separately before choosing a stock-style or custom replacement.

Does a 35mm fork tube identify the correct oil seal?

No. The early seal listed here is 35 × 46 × 11mm, while Honda’s K1 fork specification uses 35 × 48 × 11mm and a different retaining ring. Identify the fitted lower fork and full seal dimensions before combining a tube pair with seals. The 1970 model label alone does not settle that assembly check.
