1970 Honda CB750K · Fork Tubes, Springs & Seals Buying guide

Check the upper tube and lower fork requirements separately

The early tube pair states 585mm length and 35mm outside diameter. The seal and spring listings have their own dimensions and contents, so use the complete fitted fork arrangement to choose supporting parts.

Keep the seal check independent from the tube choice

The 585mm tube listing recommends seal reference 27-1007, but the featured early seal is 27-1077, measuring 35 × 46 × 11mm. Honda’s K1 fork specification instead gives 35 × 48 × 11mm and a larger retaining ring. Match the lower fork and seal seat actually fitted before combining these products; the tube diameter and a 1970 year label do not resolve the difference.

Distinguish a spring set from the surrounding rubber parts

The progressive spring product describes two springs plus spacers and washers. Gaiters, fork cover rubbers and rubber washers are separate listings with different positions. Identify the components called for by an assessment and use the service manual for the required fork service and specifications.

Questions that help you choose

What should I compare before choosing the 585mm tube set?

Its description gives 585mm or 23-inch length, a 35mm outside diameter and a set of two tubes. Compare those measurements with the fitted forks and review the stated early-model application before selecting the pair.

Why should the full seal dimensions be checked separately?

The early seal listed here measures 35 × 46 × 11mm. Honda changed the K1 fork to a 35 × 48 × 11mm seal with a 50mm retaining ring in place of the earlier 47mm ring. Confirm the fitted lower fork, seal seat and retaining arrangement rather than choosing from the shared 35mm tube diameter.

Are both listed gaiter options the same length?

No. The stock-type gaiter pair is listed under 27-1061; the alternative 27-1089 pair is described as about 1.75 inches shorter. Both reference 51611-300-000, so that shared reference alone does not establish identical length or appearance. Compare the fitted cover and gaiter arrangement before choosing.
