1980 Honda CB650C Custom · Swingarm Pivot Hardware Buying guide
This set addresses the pivot lock nut and lock washer. Identify their references and inspect the remaining pivot components so the repair order reflects the worn parts rather than an assumed complete swingarm rebuild kit.
The set contains one lock nut and one lock washer. It is useful when renewing those locking pieces during pivot service, but its contents should not be expanded into a bolt or bearing kit. Match the parts to the correct pivot diagram.
Look at the existing bolt and surrounding pivot components while identifying the locking hardware. A changed swingarm can require a different combination. Use the proper service manual for the procedure and adjustment specifications rather than deriving them from the hardware listing.
Do not assume the visible fasteners are the cause. The product guidance calls for inspecting the pivot bolt, bushings or bearings, seals and frame bores, then setting pivot clearance by the Honda procedure. The package supplies only the locking nut and washer, not those other pivot components.
The set specifies a lock washer for reference 90600-425-830, paired with nut 90354-425-830. Preserve the prescribed locking arrangement and washer orientation, then follow the Honda tightening procedure and check smooth movement without side play. Appearance alone does not establish a substitute.
Check the installed pivot hardware and the requirements of that swingarm first. The standard CB650C application does not prove fit to a conversion, even if the replacement nut and washer look similar.
