The 1982 CB900F seat-cover option depends on the original stock seat shape and suitable retained hardware. Its reinforced strap and sewn-in foam layer renew the covering, while separate B-type rubbers cushion the seat against the frame. Inspect the base, main foam and supports before making a cover-only purchase.

Refresh your seat with this Replacement Seat Cover with Reinforced Passenger Strap (no hardware included; just re-use existing hardware). There is not a "Honda"...
The package includes installation and foam-repair guidance, but no fitting hardware. Its rear has no Honda stencil, an important finish detail to compare with the goal of an original-style restoration.
The product photograph shows the replacement cover installed, not a complete seat being supplied. Check whether the underlying foam needs repair and whether the base and hardware can be retained. The included instructions support that assessment without supplying a replacement foundation.
Check support as well as appearance
The B-type seat rubber cushions the seat against the frame. Compare each fitted support and inspect the seat pan before blaming movement on the cover. The replacement cover has a sewn-in foam layer and no Honda rear stencil; those finish details do not correct damage to the main cushion or pan.
Buying questions
Will the cover restore a collapsed or uneven seat cushion?
Its sewn-in foam layer is not a replacement for the main seat foam. Assess the cushion and pan first and follow the supplied foam-repair guidance where appropriate. Fitting fresh covering over damaged foam can preserve the same uncomfortable shape.
What if the seat rocks on the frame?
Check the seat supports, their mounting positions, the pan and the retaining hardware. Renew a worn B-type rubber only after confirming that it is the correct support for that position. A new cover does not repair a missing cushion or a damaged seat mount.
Can I use this cover on a reshaped custom seat?
The listing is for the original stock seat arrangement. Compare a modified pan and foam profile with that application before ordering; extra trimming, a lowered cushion or a changed passenger section can alter the required cover shape and fastening.
