1982 Honda CB900F Supersport · Body Support Rubbers Buying guide
The front tank cushion references 17611-425-000, the B-type sidecover damper 83551-300-000 and the seat support 77205-286-000. Keep those identities separate instead of treating the category as interchangeable rubber hardware.
The featured front tank cushions support the tank at the front. Inspect the actual rear support separately; the captured 17613-438-000 rear-holder listing names the 1981 F, so its application is not extended to this 1982 route. Match each support to its position and fitted tank.
A multi-use rubber elsewhere in the grid serves the CB900F headlight stay, even though it has airbox or seat applications on other motorcycles. Match the CB900F-specific location. Broad category membership should never override the product’s actual model-and-position description.
They can address worn supports, but first inspect the fitted front cushions, rear holder and securing hardware. Check for contact with nearby parts and damage to the mounts. Do not use extra rubber or tighter hardware to conceal a misaligned tank.
Match the reference and the CB900F location. For example, the multi-use mounting rubber is listed as a headlight-stay rubber on this model even though it serves seat or airbox positions on other Hondas. Similar appearance does not establish the correct support height or fit.
The long pad at the side-stand foot is a wear item, distinct from a separate stop rubber. Check the pad for deterioration and wear to its marked line, and inspect the stand spring and free movement separately. Identify the actual piece before choosing a replacement.
