Loose trim or damaged adjustment hardware does not always call for a complete headlamp replacement. The 1981 CB900F Supersport range includes a rim-and-retainer assembly, individual mounting collars and screw-and-spring sets, allowing the order to follow the parts actually needing attention.

Replace your headlight adjuster with this Headlight Adjusting Screw & Spring Set. Each set includes one screw and one spring. Replaces OEM #33103-346-670 (screw)...
A loose rim, worn stay rubber and a failed aiming adjuster are separate repairs. Inspect the rim’s attachment, the bucket supports and the adjuster before choosing parts. The setting collar belongs with a rim-retaining screw, not the side mounting of the headlight case.
The three-piece chrome rim and retainer is listed for the original-style CB900F lamp. A changed bucket can use different tabs and retaining points. The separate complete replacement lamps are described as 6¼-inch assemblies, so their catalogue presence is not proof that original trim fits them.
Keep support, retention and aiming parts distinct
Rubber 17245-107-010 supports the CB900F headlight stay. Collar 61304-292-000 serves a rim-retaining screw. The adjusting screw and spring set aims the beam. Identify the damaged location rather than choosing any collar, screw or rubber from the headlamp category.
Buying questions
Is setting collar 61304-292-000 the collar at the side of the bucket?
No. Its product FAQ identifies it as the collar used with a headlight-rim retaining screw. Case-side mounting collars are different parts. Locate the missing collar on the fitted assembly before ordering.
Can the aiming screw fix a loose headlamp?
First check that the rim, bucket and stay supports are sound. The adjusting screw and spring are aiming hardware, not a replacement for damaged main supports. Repair looseness, then set the beam using the correct motorcycle instructions.
Will original-style trim fit an aftermarket headlight shell?
Compare the shell diameter, tabs and retaining arrangement first. The CB900F model application does not establish fit with every replacement shell, and the complete 6¼-inch lamps have their own assembly requirements.
