1981 Honda CB900C Custom · Custom Slip-On Mufflers Buying guide

Inspect the existing exhaust before selecting the pair

The chrome mufflers are offered for the factory-style Custom layout. Confirm the retained connections and supports, then assess whether any separate sealing or mounting parts are needed for the actual installation.

Match the physical installation first

The product is a pair of slip-on mufflers, so the pipes and supports staying on the bike matter to fit. Inspect them before ordering. Evidence for the CB900C application should not be broadened into a promise that the pair fits every custom exhaust system.

Confirm the slip-on connections and baffle scope

The M.A.C. 001-3111 pair is a slip-on replacement for the original-style CB900C exhaust arrangement. Confirm the retained headpipes, balance box, connecting joints and mounting supports before ordering. Its all-steel baffle description does not establish a separate serviceable packing kit or compatibility with an unrelated full-system header.

Buying questions

Will these slip-ons replace a complete aftermarket 4-into-1 system?

They are a paired slip-on set intended for the original-style CB900C arrangement. An aftermarket collector or header can have different outlets and supports. Identify the retained system and confirm those connections before treating the pair as a complete-system replacement.

Does the no-rejetting description cover a modified intake and exhaust?

That description applies to the intended stock-style installation. It does not establish a fuel-setting plan for changed air filters, headers or other engine modifications. Assess the complete installed combination instead of choosing jets from the muffler finish or a general fitment label.

Should tuning requirements be assumed from the muffler alone?

No. Consider the complete installed intake, exhaust and engine configuration. The muffler’s construction does not by itself determine whether the motorcycle needs carburetor adjustment.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
