Decide how much of the headlight needs replacing

A complete headlight assembly and a bare replacement bucket are separate choices. The stock-style assembly has a specific turn-signal-stem exclusion for the 1973 CB750K, while the fork mounting covers are supplied as a left-and-right set.

Allow for the assembly’s stated exclusions

For the 1973 CB750K, the stock-style assembly’s 1972–75 application excludes turn-signal stems. Compare the stems you will reuse or choose replacements separately. Do not borrow the different hardware notes for later model years from the same description.

Keep the bucket and fork covers distinct

Use the separate black bucket when its case is the part needing replacement. The fork-cover set supplies both left and right mounting covers under references 51602-341-701 and 51606-341-701. Compare those surrounding pieces before treating an assembly purchase as the only repair option.

Common questions

Does the stock-style assembly include turn signal stems?

No. Its 1972–75 CB750K note says to reuse the existing stems or purchase them separately. Check their condition and required length before completing the headlight order.

Can I retain the lamp and replace just the damaged case?

A separate stock-design black bucket is offered under reference 61301-300-020B. Compare the existing lamp, rim and mounting arrangement before choosing that narrower repair instead of the full assembly.

Is the lamp supplied with the assembly LED or halogen?

The stated contents include a 7-inch halogen headlight unit. Choose it for that specified lamp type rather than assuming a stock-style assembly includes an LED conversion.
