Distinguish one emblem from a pair

The 1971–72 plastic emblem listing supplies one emblem with two clips. The linked red and orange wing-emblem listings each contain both sides and attachment clips. Compare the design on your covers and the intended finish before calculating quantities or ordering extra fasteners.

Check the mounting rubbers before fitting panels

A six-piece set is offered for both covers, and A and B rubbers are also listed individually. Their shapes and positions differ. Inspect the mounting points you are repairing and review the product-specific quantities instead of buying several identical rubbers for every opening.

Side Covers & Emblems: buying questions

Are the covers supplied as individual panels?

The black side cover listing is sold as a left-and-right set only. Emblems and rubber mounts are separate, so check which of those pieces can be transferred from your existing covers.

Does the 1971–72 emblem listing contain both sides?

No. It is an individual plastic emblem with two attachment clips; the description specifies two emblems per motorcycle. The separate colored wing-emblem sets contain both sides and should be counted differently.

Can I replace only one worn side cover rubber?

Individual A and B rubbers are available alongside the full set. Identify the worn position and compare its shape and reference number before choosing an individual piece; the two types have different listed positions.
