Review the cover’s exclusions

The replacement cover retains your existing seat base and excludes hardware and trim. It has no Honda stencil and includes installation and foam-repair instructions. Inspect the pan and foam before choosing this repair instead of the complete K1 seat.

Count pin hardware by hinge

The small pin set contains one pin, one washer and one attachment clip, enough for one hinge. The full hinge set includes both hinge pieces and their listed pin hardware. Inspect what is missing before buying multiple sets or duplicating hardware supplied with the larger repair.

Does the complete K1 seat have Honda lettering?

The 1971 K1 assembly description explicitly says the back does not say Honda. It does include the strap, chrome trim and bottom rubbers. Review the photographs if rear lettering is important to your restoration.

Can an earlier seat latch be assumed to match a K1 seat?

Compare the seat underside, latch and hook together. Honda describes interchange between the earlier and revised arrangement when all three are replaced as a matching set; it does not establish that every single component can be mixed.

How much hardware is in the small hinge-pin set?

It supplies one pin, one washer and one attachment clip for one hinge. Compare the hinges already fitted and order the number of sets required; do not treat that package as a complete pair of hinges.
