1971 Honda CB750K · Frame & Body Buying guide

Build the order around the bodywork already on your K1

A complete seat, a pair of bare side covers and a rubber mounting set solve different jobs. Review their included pieces first so the order covers the repair without duplicating hardware you can keep.

Choose a complete seat or a cover repair

The K1 seat assembly includes trim and bottom rubbers, while the replacement cover is a separate non-duck-tail cover for rebuilding an existing seat. Inspect the pan and hinges before choosing. Neither option should be selected simply because another CB750 seat looks similar in a photograph.

Keep stock and custom fittings separate

The category also contains fender eliminators, shaft covers and forward controls. Those are custom choices rather than substitutes for every original part. In particular, the forward-control listing requires a brake-pedal tab weld and a separate linkage kit; include that work in the decision before ordering.

Frame & Body: buying questions

Do the black side covers include emblems?

The pair includes the left and right plastic covers. Emblems and mounting rubbers are sold separately, so inspect the fittings you intend to reuse and choose any missing pieces from their own listings.

What identifies the complete seat offered here?

Its listing specifies the 1971 CB750K1 and reference 77200-300-030. It includes a strap, chrome trim and bottom rubbers, and the rear has no Honda lettering. Compare your motorcycle’s present mounting arrangement.

Are all items in this category stock replacements?

No. Original-style body parts share the category with custom equipment. Read the individual mounting requirements, especially for forward controls or a fender eliminator, instead of assuming the whole category uses original hardware.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
