1975 Honda CB750F · Fork seals & springs Buying guide

Seals, springs and damping

The spring set includes two springs, spacers and washers; the dust boots and stopper rings are also supplied in pairs. The fork cap is sold individually with its O-ring. Choose quantities for the parts being renewed rather than ordering two of every package.

Damper valves explained

The valve set is listed for 35mm forks, above the damper rods and below the springs. Its description requires damper-rod drilling and recommends a mechanic. Some models may need a 1-inch tube spacer; the source does not identify the 1975 F as one of them.

Fork caps and O-rings

The replacement cap is specified for 35mm fork tubes with an M28 × 1.5 thread, replaces 90123-300-000 and includes an O-ring. It is sold individually. The fork-tube diameter and cap thread are separate measurements; confirm the fitted cap’s wrenching surface before choosing a tool.

Fork questions

What size are the fork seals?

The Japanese-made seal set is listed as 35 × 48 × 10.5 / 11mm and includes the 1975 CB750F in its application. The slash dimension is not presented as a choice between two selectable sizes.

Do the progressive springs include spacers?

Yes. The offered pair includes spacers and washers and lists the 1975–78 CB750F. The description does not give spring-rate or preload-setting specifications.

Does the damper-valve set require fork modification?

Yes. The supplier states that damper-rod drilling is required and recommends mechanic installation. Discuss the fitted forks and any spacer requirement with the installer before ordering; no drilling dimensions or procedure are supplied here.
