Rebuild your CB750 top end the right way with this Valve Stem Seal, replacing OEM Ref. #12209-300-000 / #12209-300-003 / #12209-300-005 / #12209-300-010. Fits both intake and exhaust valve guides on all 1969-78 CB750 models and extends to select late-'70s CB400 variants. A critical service part whenever you're past the valve cover.

Note: 8 seals are used per bike on the CB750. Sold individually so you can order exactly what your rebuild needs.

How many valve-stem seals are included and required for a 1969-78 Honda CB750?

One seal replacing Honda OEM 12209-300-000, 12209-300-003, 12209-300-005 or 12209-300-010 is included. A SOHC CB750 has eight valves—four intake and four exhaust—and uses this seal at all eight positions, so eight are required for a complete engine.

How many of these seals are used in the listed CB400 three-valve twins?

The 1978 CB400A and 1978-79 CB400T I/II engines have four intake valves and two exhaust valves. Two of these 12209-series seals are used at the exhaust valves; the four intake positions use the 12208-413-type seal sold separately.

Is this the correct valve-stem seal for a 1979-and-later DOHC CB750?

No. SKU 01-0131 serves the eight-valve 1969-78 SOHC CB750. The 16-valve 1979-and-later DOHC applications use a different seal specification, including Honda OEM 12209-422-005 where listed.
