1981 Honda CB650C Custom — Soupapes et composants de distribution
The 1981 CB650C cylinder-head selection separates intake valves, exhaust valves and stem seals. Have the head assessed before deciding what to replace. A seal set addresses a different wear point from a valve, and the intake and exhaust references must stay distinct.

Order cylinder-head parts by position and condition
The intake valve references 14711-426-003 and the exhaust valve 14721-426-003. The Kibblewhite set adds eight Viton stem seals. Use those identities to build a repair order after checking the head’s serviceable condition.
The two featured valves share the CB650C application but have different references and positions. Maintain a clear record of the removed parts and have the cylinder head inspected before choosing replacements. A matching model listing cannot replace the measurements needed for head work. Each valve is sold individually; four intake valves and four exhaust valves replace all eight positions.
Choose the stem-seal package clearly
The Kibblewhite package contains eight 100% Viton seals referencing 12209-333-005. That verified quantity makes it possible to compare the set with other repair packages. Do not infer a different count from a product handle or a generic engine-size description.
Cylinder-Head Valves & Seals questions
What else should be checked when a valve is replaced?
Inspect the valve seat, spring, retainer and keepers; for an exhaust valve, also check installed height. Have the seat machined as needed, then set cam timing and valve clearance to Honda specifications after assembly.
What material are the selected stem seals?
The eight-piece Kibblewhite set is specified as 100% Viton. Choose it on that confirmed material and package description without assuming an unverified performance gain.
Does replacing seals remove the need for guide inspection?
Measure valve-stem-to-guide clearance and have excessive guide wear corrected. New valves or stem seals do not establish that the guides are serviceable.
