Plan the opened joints

The valve cover gasket serves the cylinder cover, while the seven-piece oil seal kit addresses separate engine sealing positions. Larger gasket sets are also available, but their names alone do not establish every included seal. Compare the package with the parts disturbed by your repair.

Keep the chain systems distinct

The 112-link silent cam chain belongs to the camshaft drive. The separate 50-link primary chain belongs inside the engine, while the external drive-chain adjusters locate the rear wheel. Do not choose these different components by the word chain alone.

Engine Parts questions

Does one standard ring set cover the whole engine?

It covers one piston. Four sets cover all four pistons, provided all four use the specified standard size. Check measurements and previous machining before ordering the engine quantity.

Are filter seals included with the paper element?

The element is separate from its O-rings, spring and washer. Inspect the existing original-type housing and include the service pieces needed for the oil change.

Will the engine oil seal kit also cover a valve-cover repair?

No. The seven-piece kit contains engine oil seals; engine gaskets and O-rings are separate. For the removable top cover, select the cylinder-cover gasket for the fitted engine, then compare any wider sealing needs with the planned disassembly.
