Choose the small carburetor part that matches the fault

The featured float has a stated four-per-motorcycle requirement, but the product is ordered by the quantity needed. The air cut-off package and drain screw are separate choices for different locations on the carburetor.

Keep floats and needles distinct

The selected float is supplied with its pin, while the float needle is a separate metering component elsewhere in the selection. Inspect both during service and confirm what needs replacement. Do not use the four-float per-bike count as a statement of package contents.

Check the air cut-off package

The selected air cut-off parts include the diaphragm, spring and O-ring described for the 1980 Custom. A separate product adds a cover. Compare the existing cover condition and the actual carburetor arrangement before selecting that broader package.

Carb Floats & Small Parts questions

Can I use one float-height setting for every carburetor listed with this float?

Use the Honda specification for the exact carburetor fitted rather than borrowing a setting from another application. Check free movement of the float and valve, verify the specified float height or fuel level, and confirm fuel shuts off without leakage before use.

Is an O-ring included with the drain screw?

Yes. The selected screw is sold individually with its O-ring. Avoid adding a separate replacement seal unintentionally when that included part covers the job.

What if the bowl drain still leaks after replacing its screw or O-ring?

Inspect the screw tip, O-ring groove, bowl seat and surrounding bowl for damage or debris. A new seal cannot repair a damaged mating surface. Avoid using extra tightening force to mask the leak; it can damage the screw or bowl.
