Order the holder set and assess its clamps

The four-piece package has a defined 1981–82 standard CB650 application. Clamp size and quantity are documented separately, which matters when the existing clamps are corroded, damaged or missing.

Use the four-holder package correctly

The set contains four carb holders, replacing the specified reference at four positions. Compare the original holders before fitting replacements. A changed carburetor bank or altered intake arrangement may need a different fitment check from the standard model application.

Plan the separate clamp requirement

The product notes specify eight 50–52 mm band clamps, or eight of the named gear-clamp alternative, when replacement clamps are needed. Those clamps are separate from the holder set. Count the usable existing pieces before completing the intake mounting order.

Buying questions

Can new holders alone cure an intake leak or poor running?

Check the carburetor and engine connections, clamp condition and rack alignment as well as the rubber. Seat the holders squarely, check for intake leaks and synchronize the carburetors using the correct service procedure. New rubber cannot correct damaged mating parts or unsuitable clamps.

What clamps are specified if mine need replacing?

The product notes specify eight 50–52 mm band clamps or eight of the named gear-clamp alternative. Match the correct clamp type and size when ordering separately.

Will the holders suit a swapped carburetor bank?

That needs checking against the installed bank and intake dimensions. The listed 1982 standard application does not prove fitment after a carburetor conversion.
