Match the cylinder position before its service parts

Internal cylinder rebuilding and reservoir-cap repairs need different parts. Match the front kit, rear diaphragm and any cap plate to the actual assembly, particularly after a control conversion.

Separate the reservoir pieces from the rebuild kit

The front kit replaces 45530-MA4-671; its written listing does not itemize every included piece. Rear diaphragm 45520-300-000 and plastic diaphragm plate 45521-MJ6-006 are separate components. The plastic plate is not the rubber diaphragm, so identify the damaged piece before ordering.

Treat a universal master cylinder as a conversion

The original 2002 front master cylinder has a nominal 14 mm bore in Honda’s base service manual. The listed universal Magura has a 16 mm piston, so it is not a same-bore replacement. Confirm the complete conversion before ordering; its switch, banjo bolt and sealing washer are separate, and it has no mirror mount.

Is the 16 mm Magura a confirmed direct replacement?

No direct-replacement approval is established for this 919. A dual-disc recommendation alone does not confirm hydraulic suitability. Have the exact master cylinder, calipers, hose connections, lever clearance and brake-light switch checked before choosing a conversion.

Does a rebuild kit repair a damaged master-cylinder bore?

The kit listing does not establish that the cylinder is reusable. Have the bore and internal parts inspected under the correct service procedure, and confirm the individual kit contents needed for the repair before ordering.

Can the front rebuild kit also service a Magura cylinder?

Do not assume that. Kit 08-0201 is listed against Honda reference 45530-MA4-671. A fitted Magura needs the service parts for its exact model; a similar bore or motorcycle application is not enough.
